“You cannot, in human experience, rush into the light. You have to go through the twilight into the broadening day before the noon comes and the full sun is upon the landscape” ~ Woodrow Wilson, U.S. President

“Truth, like light, blinds. Falsehood, on the contrary, is a beautiful twilight that enhances every object” ~ Albert Camus, Author and Philosopher

“The past is the beginning of the beginning and all that is and has been is but the twilight of the dawn” ~ H.G. Wells, Author

situated within the twilight,
between night and day, the dawn and dusk,
walking with partial sight,
regarding what next to do, in “Whom” to trust,

reflections of Truth seen in mirror but dimly,
sin imbues fear, distorting what truth knows,
lies and deceptions leaving sinister shadows subtly,
what to do when skies darken and cloud cover grows?

fear not! do not invite doubt nor embrace despair,
not friends, these ungracious and unwanted guests,
and heed not the sullen shadows that envelop and ensnare,
for the Sun is just beyond the eye—light never rests,

thus, in twilight or dark shade, chase the day,
trust the Sun’s presence, forever radiant bright,
and when blinded by darkness, be patient—pray,
for never shall Truth become eternal night.
